I'm Damilola Oludare, professionally known as PDam, a United Kingdom based singer, songwriter, music director and multi-instrumentalist with over a decade of professional experience. My sound blends African-rooted contemporary music with Afrobeats, R&B, Pop, Reggae and Gospel, creating a distinctive fusion shaped by my experiences across Nigeria, Cyprus and the UK.
My musical journey began in church, where I started playing drums at 11 and began leading choirs at 19. Influenced by R&B legends like Boyz II Men, Luther Vandross and Brian McKnight, alongside gospel greats Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin, my artistry began to take shape after winning the Ondo State Talent Hunt in 2012, a moment that gave me the confidence to pursue music beyond the church.
My work sits at the intersection of African-rooted sounds and contemporary R&B, Pop, Afrobeats and Gospel. I draw on themes of identity, belonging, faith, purpose and the human experience, using honest storytelling, soulful melodies and rhythm-driven production.
My artistry has also evolved from being solely a performer and music director to becoming a music leader, discovering emerging talent, creating opportunities, and nurturing artists and musicians to find their own voice. Ultimately, I want my music and leadership to make people feel seen, inspired, connected and at home.
